Marcy

Marcy is a tiny female ferret who was found wandering outside in Prince George’s County, apparently dumped by her owners and left to fend for herself. She came to FerretsFirst in late 2006. Upon her arrival, we noticed that she was in shelter shock - a condition of depression that ferrets frequently experience when they are separated from their families.

Marcy was between four and five years of age when she arrived at FerretsFirst. We managed to stop Marcy’s decline with a lot of love and frequent hand feedings, then we placed her with a terrific foster family where she will spend the rest of her days.

Our foster families provide for the day-to-day care and routine veterinary visits for the ferrets they foster. The rescue steps in and assists with surgeries or other major health issues, so we need your support in order to continue helping ferrets like Marcy. Won’t you help today?
