Update 6/1/10 - Buffy crossed the Rainbow Bridge today. She died unexpectedly, but peacefully.
Buffy came to FerretsFirst in September of 2006 as a 2 1/2 year old single albino female. Fiesty and sweet, we were sure that Buffy was an excellent candidate for adoption. We provided surgery to remove a benign mass on her tail. At some point after her surgery, Buffy lost the use of her hind legs. X-ray imaging indicated that there may have been a spinal injury at some point during her life.
Today, Buffy still gets around fine by scooting with her front legs, and she now has her own set of “Tazzy Wheels” - sort of a ferret wheelchair that makes it easier for her to scoot with her front legs.
FerretsFirst could not provide special needs ferrets like Buffy with the ongoing medical care they need without your support and donations. Won’t you help today?
