About the Shelter
Making the transition from home to a shelter and then to another home is very stressful. So one of the key elements for the shelter is making sure that the ferrets are as comfortable as possible. FerretsFirst has an extensive “condo” complex for the ferrets. They get a sufficient area to walk around in their cages while having a lot of options to be comfortable when they want to sleep.
Where They Play
The playpen is where the ferrets exercise and socialize. They are in the play pen for about 3 hours a day and usually in groups of 6-8. In addition to playing with other ferrets they are also provided individual attention with hugs and games. The playpen toys are changed weekly to provide variety and stimulation.
